Wind Youth Services provides supportive services and opportunities to youth experiencing homelessness as they pursue self-determined lives of stability and independence.
Department of Rehabilitation Independent living
Independent living services include the following eight services provided by California’s independent living centers. Information and referral, independent living skills, transition and diversion, housing, advocacy, peer counseling, personal assistance services, assistive technology.
Calli House has daytime Drop-In services for runaway or homeless youth aged 18-24 years and an overnight Emergency Shelter for runaway or homeless youth aged 18-24 years. All youth entering the shelter are provided a comprehensive assessment that identifies their needs and from the basis of their housing plan. Transitional age youth who cannot return home or are not ready to live independently may have the option to live at Appian House or Pomona St. Apartments.
